Welcome

I am a professor of philosophy at Towson University in Maryland, USA. My research focuses on the history of modern philosophy, mostly Kant’s metaphysics, epistemology, and theory of mind. I’ve also got strong interests in contemporary theories about the mind (especially perception and intentionality), and I’ve recently developed a taste for some ideas from ancient Indian thought.

In my life outside of academia, I am an oil painter specializing in various approaches to realistic and hyperrealistic art. I have a different website for that side of things.
